Course Information

This course is aimed at final-year residents and board-certified radiologists interested in musculoskeletal imaging. This intensive one-day program has been designed to update knowledge and interpretation skills in sports-related injuries of joints, muscles, and tendons. The course focuses on diagnostic approaches and imaging strategies, with an emphasis on practical patient management.

Renowned speakers from Europe and Brazil will ensure a high-quality educational program, combining lectures with interactive case discussions.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand the mechanisms of sports-related injuries
• Learn and consolidate knowledge of imaging protocols for joints, muscles, and tendons
• Understand the role of imaging in the diagnosis and management of traumatic conditions affecting joints, muscles, and tendons

Educational Needs:

As directors of radiology training programs, we have observed that among young and trainee radiologists, knowledge of certain musculoskeletal conditions is relatively limited. This is due to low exposure to these conditions and the fact that they are not sufficiently covered in basic theoretical courses (e.g., injury mechanisms). Although many joints are frequently examined, less common and more subtle findings— which should not be overlooked to prevent joint degeneration—require greater attention.
